Nice article. But I'm not sure if I understand this sentence: "Keeping your chipstack means players who accumulate chips early have an advantage in later rounds of the tournament, as in a traditional multi-table tournament." Since each table starts with the same number of chips in play, and no one advances until winning all the chips on offer at the table, doesn't that reduce the "accumulate chips early" part to a tautology? You're not going to make it to the next table with any more chips than your neighbors, are you? - Sorry - didn't mean to get confusing. Let me try to rephrase that. For shootouts where only one player advances from each table, obviously chipstacks don't enter into it. But for shootouts where more than one player advances from each table (e.g. top 3, as in a PartyPoker shootout), chipstacks are kept as you advance. MarkT 18:20, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
