Rakeback
Rakeback is defined as a percentage of the players rake paid back to the player on a regular interval.
Percentages of rakeback vary from 25% up to 45%.
Scheduled intervals change from weekly to monthly payments.
How does rakeback work:
Usually the poker player is required to make a new account at the site offering rakeback to the player. The rakeback site sends the player to a referral link or has them enter a referral code letting the poker site know which promotion the player is requesting.
MGR is also known as monthly gross rake. This is determined by the poker site and is based upon how much rake a player pays on a regular basis according to the rake schedule. This MGR is part of the equation used to calculate rakeback.
Often times the amount of rakeback received is equal to (rake + juice) - (bonuses - money added tournaments - fees - fraud - used player points) * % of rakeback customer is entitled to. This is the most complex part of the rakeback system. The important fact is that there are several variables that can cause a player to loose rake. The site that offers rakeback often takes care of these calculations for the player and tracks all rakeback that the player is entitled to.
