Counterfeit

A counterfeit is a card that comes on the board and causes one or more cards in your hand to be unplayable. This often happens in hold'em with two pair hands where one pair is in the player's hand but the board itself has two pair where both are larger than the player's. In Omaha/8 counterfeits happen when some of a players low cards show up on the board and thus become unplayable.
