Chicago

Chicago is the third-largest city in America, located on the shores of Lake Michigan, in the northeast corner of the state of Illinois, in the midwestern United States.
Although it has no poker rooms of its own, Illinois recently legalized some casinos in some areas around the state, and Chicago itself is also reasonably close to parts of the states of Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan -- and those states have palced casinos in nearby cities to attract some of the business of Chicago clientele.
The greater Chicago metropolitan area is locally known as Chicagoland, and includes the northwestern corner of Indiana. Some broader definitiosn include the southwestern corner of Michigan and the southeastern corner of Wisconsin in the definition, but that is not common.
The most famous casual poker player in Chicago is Michael Jordan himself, the famed Chicago Bulls player who retired in the early 2000's. He often plays at his house north of the city or, now that Harrah's Horseshoe has opened in Hammond, will sometimes play there within their ultra-chic private poker salon.

- Potawatomi Casino, in Milwaukee WI, approximately 2 hours north of Chicago on I-94.
