The spacious new poker cardroom is a separate room (technically a separate business) with an exterior entry from the parking lot and an interior one from the main casino. Like the casino, the cardroom has a Caribbean theme with faux-palm trees, tiki torches, and colorful lighting. The room tends to be cool. It has ten conveniently positioned medium/large TVs that are typically tuned to sports events. A variety of upbeat popular music (lots of 1970s to 1990s) plays over speakers. The adjoining casino contains a dozen or so table games including Blackjack, Pai Gow, 4 Card Poker and Spanish 21.
Neighborhood: The casino is located near a large grocery store plaza of small businesses, bars, and restaurants serving the surrounding middle class residential neighborhood. It seems to be a low crime area. It is less than a mile from I-405 Exit 22.
Parking: Plenty of free parking is available.
Tables and Chairs: 9-seat tables (11-seat for tournaments) with slightly-worn felt and decent vinyl rail padding. Chairs are ok.
Service and Comps Edit
Frequent service from the restaurant and bar. Food can be delivered at the table. The menu is reasonably diverse with many very good Asian dishes. With a free player's club card you get $7 off your meal (once per day). Poker play also accumulates casino comp points at a rate equivalent to approximately $0.70 worth of food per hour played. Casino features daily Happy hour from 6pm to 2am and all day on Sunday. All drinks are 50% off.
